MUSIC ACCESSORY LIST
ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED:
Folder (this will be provided)
Pencils (2)
Music Stand- for home practice
Name tag for case
BAND STUDENTS WILL NEED
Beginning Band students use the "Accent on Achievement" book 1 for their instrument
Advanced Band students use the "Accent on Achievement" books 1 and 2 for their instrument
Percussion students use "Accent on Achievement" book 1 for mallet percussion only and "Rhythm Reading for Drums" book 1 by Garwood Whaley
In addition, they will also need the following:
FLUTE
Clean cotton cloth (handkerchief or T-shirt)
Cleaning Rod (provided with flute)
OBOE
One or two extra reeds
Cleaning swab
Tube cork grease
Water case
CLARINET
5-10 extra reeds (Rico Royal, Mitchell Lurie or VanDoren 2 or 2.5)
Cleaning cloth

SAXOPHONE
5-10 extra reeds (2 or 2.5)

Padded neck strap
TRUMPET/BARITONE

Bell kit and a drum pad at least one pair of drum sticks (Vic Firth 5B), and bell mallets.

STRING STUDENTS WILL NEED
Beginning String students use the "Essential Elements" book 1 for their instrument
Intermediate and Advanced String students use the "Essential Elements" books 1 and 2 for their instrument
In addition, they will also need the following:
Rosin

VIOLIN / VIOLA
Shoulder rest (Resonans preferred, purple foam is okay)
