Ms. Baker
Director of Band and Strings, Ilchester Elementary School
Ms. Baker graduated from The Boston Conservatory magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music Degree with an education major and a clarinet concentrate. She also holds a certificate in Dalcroze, Orff, and Kodaly from Towson University. She is the former vocal music teacher at Robert Moton Elementary in Carroll County, where she taught 8 years before deciding to stay at home with her children. After five years at home, Ms. Baker returned to teaching in 2005. She spent one year as a half time vocal music teacher dividing her time between Ilchester and Waterloo Elementary Schools before accepting the instrumental music teaching position at Ilchester Elementary.
Ms. Baker lives in Westminster, Maryland, with her husband, Andrew Spang, son Benjamin, and daughter Sophie.
