Band:  Work on your Bb concert scale and Eb concert scale with different articulations: staccatos, accents, tenutos, etc.  Make up your patterns.  ( Example:  Long, short, short, long, short, short)
Strings: Work on your D and G scales with different bowings and articulations.
Silly question:
Where is the spot on the East Coast of the US that the sun hits first in the morning?  (I am there now.)

Figure out how to play "Yankee Doodle" without looking at any music.

BAND:  Work on the Eb concert scale.
Flutes, oboe, trombone, baritone, tuba, and bells:
Eb, F, G, Ab, Bb, C, D, Eb
Clarinets, tenor saxophone, and trumpets*:
F, G, A, Bb, C, D, E, F
* Trumpets, you might need to look up the fingering for High E and F.  If you can't play them, play F-C and back down again.
Alto saxophones:
C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C
STRINGS:  Work on the G concert scale.
G, A, B, C, D, E, F#, G

Be able to hold a clear good sound for 20-25 seconds.
(Drums do a steady roll and strings use a nice long bow.)
